New York-Upstate

JSHS invites high school students to report on the results of their original research investigations in STEM and compete for scholarships and recognition at university-held regional symposia. Students in grades 9-12 enrolled in public, private, or home schools are eligible to participate in their local Regional Symposium. See Rules of Competition for eligibility details. There is no cost to register for or participate in a regional JSHS event. If you are asked to pay a fee to register, please contact us at admin@www.jshs.org.

All New York  high schools are eligible to participate in the New York – Upstate Regional JSHS, with the exception of schools located in the New York – Metro and Long Island JSHS regions. The New York Metro JSHS Region includes the  counties of  New York, Bronx, Richmond, Kings, Queens, Rockland and Westchester. The New York – Long Island JSHS Region includes the counties of Nassau and Suffolk.
