Hawaii and Pacific

JSHS invites high school students to report on the results of their original research investigations in STEM and compete for scholarships and recognition at university-held regional symposia. Students in grades 9-12 enrolled in public, private, or home schools are eligible to participate in their local Regional Symposium. See Rules of Competition for eligibility details. There is no cost to register for or participate in a regional JSHS event. If you are asked to pay a fee to register, please contact us at admin@www.jshs.org.

The Hawaii and Pacific region includes all Hawaii high schools, as well as those located in American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, and the Marshall Islands. Students who attend the DoDEA school located in Guam should participate in the DoDEA Pacific regional JSHS.

Information and dates for 2026-27 regional events will be posted in the fall of 2026.
