Program Benefits

JSHS promotes research and experimentation at the high school level and supports students’ future STEM pursuits through scholarships and recognition.  Participating students have the opportunity to present their STEM research in a forum of their peers and professional STEM personnel representing the DoD, Federal research laboratories, and academia.

"I learned a tremendous amount of science, got to meet other high school students who shared my interests in science, and learned that I could succeed at any program that I chose to pursue."

~ JSHS Student 2014

Students present research posters to judges from the Dept. of Defense, academia, and industry at the 55th National JSHS.
